Developing a Social Networking Strategy at the Cincinnati AMA March Non-Profit SIG

The Cincinnati AMA's Non-profit SIG (Shared Interest Group) is going to be discussing social networking at their March meeting.

Google Wave Discussion at Wednesday's Cincinnati AMA Interactive SIG

Join us at this month’s Interactive SIG on Wednesday February 10th as we discuss Google Wave. The meeting is free for AMA members and only $10 for non-members.

Interview with Lisa Sanger & Donna Eby of Sanger & Eby

Web Analytics Wednesday - Cincinnati Meeting

As 2009 draws to a close and we dive head-first into 2010 a la Cincinnati's own Pete Rose, it's a good time to resolve to get out and network with other interactive marketers in the new year. 

Well you're in luck as the next meeting of the Cincinnati chapter of Web Analytics Wednesday is at Black Finn at 19 East 7th Street this Wednesday, January 6th at 6:00PM.  Greg Smith, assistant professor of the MIS department of the Williams College of Business at Xavier will be presenting on the role and impact of web analytics on business intelligence practices and thinking. 

I'm not exactly sure what that entails, but it sounds pretty cool and the WAW meetings are fun, so check out the details and register on the Web Analytics Wednesday website.            

Wamboo.com Helps People In Need

Hopefully you're in the holiday spirit these days.  Since it is the week of Christmas and the time of year when giving to others may be foremost in your mind, I want to promote a great new site that is designed to help connect individuals and families in need with folks who want to help: Wamboo.com.  

I recently caught up with Dori Gehling, founder of Wamboo and asked her a couple of questions about the site.  Here's the short (just over a minute) interview below.

I really admire Dori for taking the initiative to start Wamboo and investing the time, money and energy needed to get the website off the ground.  Please check out the site and considering joining or getting involved by starting a Team or supporting a Rally (an individual or family in need). 

Two Cincinnati-Area Networking Events Next Week

There are two local Interactive-focused networking events next week you might want to check out as they should both be a lot of fun and great networking opportunities.

Dec. 9 Cincinnati AMA Interactive SIG: 2009 Year in Review

Well now that December has arrived it's time for all those "year in review" articles and TV shows.  So how about we start the season off with a review of the Interactive industry?    

The Cincinnati AMA Interactive SIG meets the second Wednesday of each month from 11:30 - 1:00 in downtown Cincinnati at the offices of Web Media Tools, 18 West 7th Street, 3rd floor.

The topic for the December 9th meeting is "Interactive: The Year in Review". We will be having an open discussion of the major Interactive industry trends and news events of 2009. There was a lot that happened this year, from the meteoric rise of Twitter to the launch of Google Wave and the FTC's new rules on endorsements and testimonials just to name a few.  Have a favorite article, case study or funny anecdote you want to share, bring it!

Cincinnati AMA November Luncheon: Going Home with the Boss

Sort of a provocative title for the November Cincinnati AMA luncheon isn't it?  Well, Andrew Manning, PhD. and Cultural Anthropoloigst with Procter & Gamble is presenting on the topic "Going Home with the Boss: Procter & Gamble's Customer-centric Journey" at this Friday's luncheon at the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University from 11:30 - 1:15.

During the presentation Dr, Manning will review techniques P&G uses to obtain consumer insights and a real-life case study where ethnographic insights were translated into products.
